FAQ – @Link Alumni Email Service

1. Am I eligible for an Alumni @Link Email Account?

Application for @Link email services is now open for all alumni.

2. How can I apply for an Alumni @Link Email Account?

Alumni can apply for the services through MyCUHK. For the application procedure, please click here.

3. When will my Alumni @Link Email Account be activated upon successful application of the services in MyCUHK?

Alumni can enjoy the Alumni @Link Email Account 1 working day upon successful application through MyCUHK, by logging in to the account at https://www.cuhk.edu.hk/o365.

4. How can I log in to my Alumni @Link Email Account?

Alumni can log in at https://www.cuhk.edu.hk/o365.
Login ID: “Alumni ID”@link.cuhk.edu.hk (e.g. 1012345678@link.cuhk.edu.hk)
Password: MyCUHK Password (OnePass Password)

5. Can I change my @Link email account alias (“name”@link.cuhk.edu.hk)?

Alumni can choose a permanent email alias during application, which cannot be changed after the account is set up.

6. My full English name is shown as the “Sender Name” of my @Link email account. Can I change it?

According to the Information Technology Services Centre’s policy, the default “Sender Name” of the @Link email account is the user’s full English name registered with the University, which cannot be changed in the email account settings.

7. What can I do if I have questions on the operation and functions of the @Link Email Account?

Alumni may go to the Helpdesk by clicking the “?” at the top-right corner of the account landing page for assistance.

8. How can I access my @Link email account through different devices?

The @Link email account can be accessed via Web Browser, Outlook 2016, Android and iPhone/iPad. Please refer to https://www.itsc.cuhk.edu.hk/all-it/email-messaging-and-collaboration/link-email/ for details.

9. How can I reset the account password if I have forgotten it?

The login password of the Alumni @Link Email Account is synchronized with the MyCUHK account. Please reset your password at https://www.alumni.cuhk.edu.hk/MyCUHK/RetrieveAlumniID_ResetPassword.html if forgotten.
