Raymond Yang (17/NA/Government and Public Administration) grew up in a violent home and carries the lasting effects of childhood trauma. He is grateful that New Asia College provided a safe and accepting environment, which helped him realise the importance of children’s holistic well-being.
He subsequently co-founded the non-profit organisation “JUST FEEL” with alumni Anthony Ngai (04/CC/Quantitative Finance) and Matthew Kwok (17/WS/Law; 24/GS/Philosophy) to promote a Compassionate School Culture.
“We believe in early intervention — helping children grow up healthy and preventing problems before they arise. If we only act at the very last moment before a student takes their own life, it is already too late.” JUST FEEL actively works with schools to transform communication culture, empowering educators and parent to raise the next generation with compassionate communication.
