Not only was everything shaking during the bombing— even my heart felt like it was trembling,” recalls Krystal So (13/CC/Nursing), describing the moment a strike hit near a hospital in Gaza. Having worked with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)🩺and witnessed colleagues and journalists lose their lives in the war, she humbly expressed that she hadn’t provided much substantial help to those suffering from injury, illness, war, and disasters. “But to walk alongside them, to let them know that someone still cares—that is what matters most.”
These experiences taught her to live in the present, cherish loved ones, and pursue dreams without delay.
