【Issue125】Aleck Kwong

Aleck Kwong (08/CC/Quantitative Finance) achieved top scores in his public exams, studied the highly competitive Quantitative Finance programme, and joined an international investment bank after graduation. But his passion for music, theatre performance, and creative work has never faded. With a strong belief in the power of art, he enrolled in the inaugural Master‘s programme in Expressive Arts Therapy and is now a registered expressive arts therapist. During the pandemic, Aleck was unfortunately diagnosed with cancer. Isolated in a hospital ward and unable to see his family, his emotions hit rock bottom. Once again, music carried him through and helped him regain his strength.

After recovering, Aleck reflected on the meaning of life: ”I believe it is very important for everyone to have time that truly belongs to them, to do what they love, and not to let work wear them down.“ He actively shares his personal journey and, in recent years, has focused on serving young people, helping them see different possibilities in life.
