Amid rising community attention to fire prevention, the Fire Services Department (FSD) launched the “Pilot Scheme of Internet of Things Fire Detection System” last year. Felix Lam (22/EMBA Chinese) spotted the opportunity early and founded a company to develop smart fire safety solutions.
With support from CUHK Shenzhen Research Institute and coverage by China Central Television (CCTV), Felix quickly built up his profile. Having previously set up a pilot at Lee Woo Sing College, Felix was well-prepared for an on-site demo when the FSD reached out to inquire about his R&D, turning an opportunity into business success.
Felix is also committed to social responsibility, proactively promoting fire safety awareness in the community.
